Legal Access

When an application is submitted for consideration the property must have legal access. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide the required level of evidence detailing the proposed access to the site, whether it is existing or proposed and where it is located.

Where an existing road or right-of-carriageway is substandard, and if the application is approved, conditions of consent may require the developer to provide an all-weather pavement in accordance with Council standards.

Where legal access cannot be provided in accordance with Council requirements the application maybe rejected or refused.
