NSW Government tips in $655,884 for Upper Lachlan road repairs

Councils in the Goulburn electorate will soon start receiving funds for urgent pothole repairs, under the NSW Government’s $50 million Fixing Local Roads Pothole Repair Round.

Twilight Christmas Fair set to light up and bedazzle Crookwell

Crookwell is set to light up and bedazzle with the inaugural Crookwell Twilight Christmas Fair taking place on Saturday 3rd December, showcasing the creators, makers, growers, bakers and retail movers and shakers from the Upper Lachlan and Southern Tablelands regions.

Statewide road emergency

Unexpected power outage in Taralga area - 23 November 2022

UPDATE 10:30AM: The outage is reported as being resolved.

 

EARLIER (9:30AM): There is currently a power outage in the Taralga area.

Essential Energy advises that the outage was reported at 8:18 this morning and is affecting 585 customers.

Mosquito Control in Gunning

Following the significant rain and storm events in Gunning, an increased number of mosquitos have been noted in the area.

This is common following flood events for mosquito numbers to rapidly increase and the best way to protect yourself and your family is to cover up with loose clothing and use insect repellent.

Works on Kentgrove Road and Laggan Road completed

With a brief respite in the rain, Council has been able to complete several scheduled works in the Shire.

Council has rehabilitated Kentgrove Road from a gravel road to a sealed road.

Works started in June 2022 including gravelling and drainage works. Wet weather during that period held up the project at different times and works...
