Replacement of damaged rural addressing plates

02-05-2023

Upper Lachlan Shire Council is offering all residents affected by the recent Craig’s Road fire at Curraweela who have had their rural addressing plates damaged or destroyed to apply to council for a replacement plate free of charge.

ULSC Acting GM Alex Waldron said it was noted during the Recovery session that damaged rural addressing plates were of concern to fire affected residents and that anything Council can do to ease the burden of recovery will be done.

“It may see a small thing, but rural addressing plates are extremely important for emergency services to identify properties,” she said.

“I therefore urge anyone with damaged plates to apply for a replacement through Council.”

Council is waiving the fee in this circumstance and will need to account for every plate produced.

To receive a replacement rural addressing plate, residents will need to fill out the Rural Addressing application found on our website and submit to council at council@upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au with reference to “Replacement Plate Bushfire” written on the application form.

The application form can be found here:
