Road Closure – Laggan Road in the vicinity of Commissioner’s Creek

Council resolved to close as public road the Council roads located at Lot 1 DP 1224882 and Lot DP 1224882 in the vicinity of Laggan Road.

Council further resolved that upon closure, Council transfer the closed roads to the adjoining owner as compensation for land acquired for road opening on Laggan Road.

Road Closure – Gibraltar Road

Council resolved to close as public road the Council roads located on the eastern boundary of Lot 1 DP 563054 and northern boundary of Lot 129 DP 750014 in the vicinity of Gibraltar Road.

Council further resolved that upon closure, Council transfer the closed roads to the adjoining owner as compensation for land acquired for road opening on Gibraltar Road.

Presentation of the 2021/2022 Annual Report

Council adopted the Upper Lachlan Shire Council Annual Report for 2021/2022 in accordance with Section 428, of the Local Government Act 1993, Part 9, Division 7, of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 and other applicable legislation. Council resolved to notify the Office of Local Government by providing a URL link to Council website.

Referral for Audit – 2021/2022 Financial Statements

Council resolved that the 2021/2022 Financial Statements be referred for independent audit by external auditors, NSW Audit Office;

Council resolved that the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, General Manager and Responsible Accounting Officer sign the Statement by Councillors and Management for the General Purpose and Special Purpose 2021/2022 Financial Statements;

Council adopted the 2021/2022 Financial Statements for Council, containing the General Purpose and Special Purpose Financial Statements; and

Council delegated the General Manager the authority to authorise the Council 2021/2022 Financial Statements for issue immediately upon receipt of the Auditors Report and delegated the authority to finalise the date at which the Auditor’s Report and Financial Statements are presented to the public.

Council fixed the date for presentation of the 2021/2022 Financial Statements to the public as 17 November 2022.

Traffic Speed Monitors

Council resolved to purchase and install initially five traffic speed/display monitors to be used in villages in the Upper Lachlan Shire utilising residual funds allocated for Council’s Streetscape Project. Council further resolved to bring back a report to November 2022 Council meeting with cost estimates for future purchase of traffic speed/display monitors for other villages.

RUOK Buddy Bench

Council resolved that the residual amount of $2,184.83 from the Office of Regional Youth, Regional Youth Network funding for RUOK be used towards creating a “Buddy Bench” and mindfulness garden” to be located at Crookwell High School.

Staffing matters report

Council received and noted a staffing report.

Proposed land acquisition for Julong Bridge upgrade

Council resolved to compensate the owner of Lot 3 DP 174273 as per Council’s Land Acquisition policy, to the value of $718.00

Council resolved to compensate the owner of Lot 1 DP 1089216 as per Council’s offer based on an independent valuation of $11,760.00

Council resolved to compensate the owner of Lot 30 DP 133500 based on the property owner’s valuation of $7,208.00.

Upgrade of 5 x Pedestrian School Crossings – Award of Tenderer

Council awarded JSC Pty Ltd the tender for the works to upgrade five school raised pedestrian crossings along with line marking and signage upgrades under Stage 1 of the stimulus program – Pedestrian School Zone Safety for a lump sum price of $375,341.34 (inclusive of GST).
