In response to the bush fires of 2019, Southern Tablelands Arts (STA) has received a substantial grant through the Black Summer Bush fire Grants and Upper Lachlan Shire Council, and the community has been invited to come and talk about the “Paint the Town” Street Art Festival coming to the Shire in Spring.
A session was held at the Crookwell Art Gallery on Friday 28 April 2023 to discuss concepts and possible locations for the Crookwell mural.
A follow-up “Paint the Town” session will be held at the Emily Chalker building on Friday 7 July to hear input, feedback and ideas from the community regarding the Crookwell mural.
A mental health specialist with trauma training will also be on hand in case any of the discussions are triggering.
