Community groups benefit from Taralga Wind Farm Community Fund

Eight community groups in the Upper Lachlan Shire will benefit from a combined $124,592 under the Taralga Wind Farm Community Fund in 2017/18.

The grants, assessed by the Taralga Wind Farm Community Fund Section 355 Committee, will help to fund the following projects:




Taralga War Memorial Hall

Installation of a heating system for the Taralga War Memorial Hall


Taralga Bowling Club

Purchase of a turf aerator and scarifier


Taralga Community Medical Association

Refurbishment and repairs to the Taralga Medical Centre



Taralga Anglican Parish

Regeneration of wooden floor at Jamieson Hall



Golspie Progress and Landcare Association

Upgrade of Golspie Hall


Taralga Cooperative

Upgrade of amenities at Taralga Showground


Taralga Australia Day Committee

Front fencing for the Taralga Showground




Taralga AP&H Society

Purchase of food service benches






Upper Lachlan Shire Mayor and Committee Member Brian McCormack OAM said the Fund provides grants to projects or initiatives that benefit the community within 20kms of the wind farm.

“It is wonderful to see our community groups benefit from this funding,” Cr McCormack said.
