The Crookwell Library Friends Bus Trip to Lanyon Homestead

The Crookwell Friends of the Library invites you on an exciting bus trip to Lanyon Homestead in Canberra. Featured recently on Building Australia on ABC, Lanyon Homestead is one of Australia’s premier historic homestead properties. The visit will include a guided tour of the 1850s Homestead, which has been beautifully restored and furnished, as well as entry to the various outbuildings.

When: Wednesday 30th August 2017

Where: Lanyon Homestead, Canberra

Cost: $45.00 non-members, $40.00 for Crookwell Friends of the Library members (includes bus fare, entry to the Homestead and lunch)

Time: Leaving outside the Crookwell Library 8:00am (Goulburn Visitor Information Centre 8:30am), Returning to Crookwell approximately 4:30pm (Goulburn 4pm)

Book and pay for your seat at the Crookwell Library by Wednesday 23rd August.


Scrabble at Crookwell Library

Come and join the fun of the Crookwell Library Friends’ monthly Scrabble Afternoons. Scrabble is held in the Crookwell Library every FIRST TUESDAY of the month from 1pm, followed by afternoon tea. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Please bring a gold coin donation for afternoon tea. No bookings are required.




Knitting at Gunning Library

The Gunning Library Knitting Circle is held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. All welcome. No bookings are required.




The themed sessions run for approximately 45 minutes and consist of stories and an age relevant craft activity or creative play. Children from ages 0-5 years are welcome to attend Storytime. Storytime is free and no bookings are required.

Storytime is held at the Crookwell Library every Thursday at 11:30am during the school term.

Gunning Library at 10.45am every second Friday during the school term.

Storytime is not held during school holidays.
